Share your story with us!!

In the Latin Culure it is known in the History of these "Jet Black Beads" is believed to

result of excessive admiration or envious looks by others. Having newborn babies wear

an "Azabache" (a gold bracelet or gold pendant with the black stone) is believed to protect them form the "Evil Eye" el mal de ojo. I have a couple of bracelets that were handed down from my mom and my aunt Chiche, they are still from my childhood !!

My kids wore the gold pendants, which I still have as a keepsake. The say "Dios Te Bendiga" God Bless You., It was the first gift every given to a newborn baby. These mean a lot to me, it brings me back to my childhood and dressing up and wearing these on special occasions.
